Compare pet insurance by policy, not headline price
Use one pet profile and the same reimbursement assumptions to compare policies on equal terms. PawWise Picks does not sell insurance or recommend a provider.
Reviewed July 7, 2026. Educational comparison framework only; no quote, sale, diagnosis, or individualized recommendation is provided.
Normalize every quote
Use the same species, breed, age, postcode, reimbursement percentage, deductible, and annual limit. Record whether the deductible is annual or per condition.
Compare the annual premium plus the amount you could still pay under the deductible, co-insurance, exclusions, and policy limit.
Read exclusions before benefits
Check waiting periods, pre-existing-condition definitions, bilateral-condition rules, hereditary or congenital coverage, dental terms, exam fees, rehabilitation, and prescription food exclusions.
Ask how renewal repricing works and whether coverage or limits can change as the pet ages.
Verify the regulated document
Read the policy wording and product disclosure document, not only a quote page. Rules and terminology differ by jurisdiction.
